A 10,000-square-foot chalet with four bedroom suites on 5 acres overlooking Macari Vineyards in Mattituck is on the market for $2.995 million.

The house, on a gated property on Arbor Lane, has an indoor and outdoor pool and a legal 2,700-square foot-accessory building.

The property is being marketed as ideal for use as a family compound or a bed-and-breakfast, said listing agent Kristy Naddell of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. “It’s set up perfectly to do that,” she said. “It’s like a resort.”

The entry foyer has a grand staircase leading to a living room with 30-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and a wood-burning fireplace. The sunroom also has a wood-burning fireplace and leads to a heated saltwater gunite pool with a sun deck, marble patio, firepit and saltwater hot tub. The lower level has an indoor heated pool, sauna, game room, gym, and lounge with storage for 140 wine bottles.

All four bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and custom walk-in closets; there are two half-bathrooms as well. The primary bedroom is a 1,700-square-foot suite with a bathroom with clawfoot tub and walk-in spa shower, its own living room with a double-sided gas fireplace and laundry.

The owners updated it in 2021, replacing appliances and light fixtures, repainting, finishing a media room, adding the outdoor pool and patio, replacing the HVAC system and adding a generator, Naddell said.

It also includes a high-end chef's eat-in kitchen, central air conditioning, smart-home technology and a two-car garage.
